About the Pattern
This Mr. Otter hat pattern is a tribute to everyone’s favorite Disney florist: Emmitt Otterton. Zootopia is one of my favorite modern Disney animated movies, so when there was such a cute sweater involved, it was a no-brainer for me. I found a faux fur pom pom to really make my point. One of these days, I’ll probably get my Mrs. Otter hat ready to publish as well.
For my sample, I used Knit Picks Wool of the Andes Worsted and got a hat that was sized for a large child or small adult. Since I know plenty of adults will want a Mr. Otter hat of their own, I included gauge information in the pattern to get a slightly larger hat. If you want it a little bigger, try using a yarn like Paton’s Classic Wool Worsted— it’s a little thicker than the Wool of the Andes Worsted.
I have plenty more Disney patterns, too. You may want to start by looking at Cat Hat, Sea Witch, and Droid, please.
