About the Knit Water Bottle Holder
Who couldn’t use a knit water bottle holder? Doesn’t everyone bring their hydration everywhere these days? This convenient carrier has a cross-body strap for a truly hands free experience.
This piece is knit in the round from the top down and the strap is knit separately then sewn on. I knit mine using double pointed needles, but you could easily use magic loop or two circulars if you prefer.
When my big kids were little we would go to the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle almost weekly. I got tired of stopping to dig water bottles out from under the stroller every five minutes, so I made each of them a carrier. They loved how many compliments they got from people at the zoo. I just made the straps shorter for them to keep from banging their knees with a full bottle.
I knit this one in Lily Sugar and Cream 100% cotton, but for my crochet version I used wool. Both finished products were great, so you’re probably safe using your favorite worsted weight yarn. You can see the free crochet pattern on Ravelry and Love Crafts.
