Eight Tiny Reindeer earflap hat pattern

Description of Reindeer Hat

This is one of my earliest and still most popular knitting patterns. Eight tiny reindeer is an earflap hat featuring Santa’s eight reindeer in a lacy pattern. When knit in a contrasting color, the stockinette lining shows through around each reindeer head.

Eight Tiny Reindeer uses clever construction to knit the earflaps, hat, and lining while joining the pieces as you go, so there isn’t a bunch of sewing together when you’re done. In fact, when you finish knitting, the only seaming you’ll do is closing up the sides of the earflaps.

If you’re looking for a super-warm hat, look no further! This double layer of wool will keep you warm in the coldest months. The pattern is written in one size to fit most adults. I used Patons Classic Wool for my samples. It’s a solid choice for quality wool at an affordable price (See how I used it in my Manta shawl.) A couple of good DK yarns for the lining are Plymouth Yarn DK superwash and, for the softest lining, Lion Brand Touch of Merino.
