About the Pattern
Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth is a classic knitting pattern. It is simple to knit, easy to memorize, and easily customizable to any size. The square is knit from corner-to-corner. You’ll cast on at one corner, increase stitches in every row until you’re happy with the size of the first half, then decrease every row until you are at the final corner. To make a baby blanket, just make a big square with a softer yarn.
Grandma’s Favorite Dishcloth is a perfect pattern for meditative or mindful knitting because it is simple to knit and easy to memorize. If you’re practicing meditation or mindfulness in your knitting, but you feel more comfortable with a pattern, save the photo below. I made you a nice-looking version of the pattern that you can save to the photos on your phone. Sometimes I use my current pattern as my lock screen on my phone so I don’t even have to unlock my phone to check my pattern.
