Frontierland Yarn Color Palette

I had to create a Frontierland yarn color palette. Frontierland at Disneyland is home to my favorite ride, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. You’ll recognize the coral, green, and brown of that ride in my color palette. The Frontierland yarn color palette includes Knit Picks Hawthorne Fingering Kettle Dye in Daphne, Conifer, and Faun; and Knit Picks Hawthorne Tonal Handpainted in Springfield. Hawthorne is one of my favorite fingering weight yarns for its high twist and easy care. (80% Fine Superwash Highland Wool, 20% Polyamide.) I knit my Wonder Woman cardigan in Hawthorne and it is comfy to wear as well as easy to care for.

I love knitting projects that are based on pop culture, and Disney is one of my favorite sources of inspiration. Every time I go to Disneyland, I bring a new stack of knits to take pictures of. My plan is to design shawls for every land at Disneyland and California Adventure. Check out the color palettes I chose for Fantasyland and New Orleans Square.
